FAQ

1. What training do you have?

I have my MA in Global Maternal and Child Health, a certification for Birth and Postpartum Doula from Childbirth International and am a Certified Lamaze Childbirth Educator. I have also continued my education in several different disciplines including hypnotherapy for pregnancy and birth, parent coaching, life coaching and counseling, nutrition and lactation. In addition to formal education, I have a lot of life education, practicing my birth services in West and Southern Africa as well as in the USA.

2. What is your philosophy about birth?

I believe strongly in the connection between nature and medicine, marrying these two makes for a great birth. I believe that every birthing person has the right to have a birth that is dignified, empowered and safe. I believe that you and your family have the right to choose how you want to birth without any judgement and surrounded by support and love.

3. How many births have you attended?

I have attended close to 160 births, supporting each birthing person with love, empathy and support. I have supported natural births, medicated births, home births, hospital births and birthing center births. I have taught over 100 families about birth, postpartum and parenthood.

4. What are your fees?

Fees for Doula Services vary on your needs. Payment terms are flexible, and I will always try my best to suit your needs. For more information, please shoot me a text and we can set up a consultation.
